We host a variety of courses throughout the year. Click through the options below for more information on our community classes, courses, and other offerings. Click here for our full calendar of events.

This 8-hour, HUD-Certified, all-encompassing course is designed to teach first-time homebuyers all the steps to homeownership. Classes are typically held on Saturdays, with occasional exceptions. This course is free for Athens-Clarke County residents.

Attendees will get an overview of ALT’s homeownership program and have the opportunity to ask questions. We host one session per month via Zoom, and another is held in-person at our office at 685 N. Pope Street. There is no charge to attend an info session.

We’ve teamed up with Morris Brown College to offer a free financial literacy series that is perfect for high school students and college-aged people who are preparing to live on their own and make major financial decisions for the first time. Pre-registration is required. Click here to register online

Twice a year, we offer our Grow Your Business Course, a series of workshops designed to help budding entrepreneurs develop their business and for existing business owners to grow their business. Our goal is to have registrants attend every workshop to take full advantage of this amazing FREE offering, as well as to develop a written business plan for their business. Workshops will be part-lecture and part in-class work to give attendees time to develop strong business plans and strategies.

The goal of the program is to help these farmers hone their skills and develop independent sustainable farm businesses.

The first year, incubator farmers will grow under the guidance of the Williams Farm Manager. Produce grown will be distributed weekly to Clarke County families through our free farm share program at least 30 weeks out of the year, to the West Broad Farmers Market from April to November, and to wholesale partners year-round.
