Cultivating Community Dinner

Since 2013, the West Broad Farmers Market has matched thousands of dollars spent on fresh produce for SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) customers through our Double Dollars program. In partnership with Wholesome Wave Georgia, this program matches each dollar spent by SNAP recipients. In addition to making healthy food more affordable, the Double Dollars program contributes to the local food economy, as each nutrition benefit dollar spent becomes two dollars for local farmers.

Join us next year for the sixth Cultivating Community Dinner and help ensure affordable, healthy produce is available to all members of our community. This evening features a multi-course fine dining experience prepared by Chef Peter Dale,¬†with assistance from students in Athens Land Trust’s Young Urban Farmers program.
