We invite you to join us on Saturday, November 19th from 11 AM to 2 PM at the West Broad Farmers Market and Garden for the return of the African American Heritage and Urban Agriculture Festival!

The West Broad Farmers Market and Garden originally created this event in 2013 to celebrate Athens’ rich African-American heritage, particularly surrounding the West Broad neighborhood and urban agriculture. Over the years, the West Broad Farmers Market has partnered with various community members and organizations to celebrate this event annually.

Due to COVID-19 Pandemic, the festival has not been held since November of 2019. The return of the African American Heritage and Urban Agriculture Festival will feature live music, performances, guest speakers, and an awards ceremony highlighting Black excellence in urban agriculture and leadership in the Athens community. Stay tuned for more details!
