In Penniman’s book, Farming While Black, she describes how she brought Soul Fire Farm to life. The farm is a passion project committed to ending racism and injustice in the food system; providing life-giving food to people living in food deserts; and transferring skills and knowledge to the next generation of farmer-activists.
