Free for Athens-Clarke County Residents
There is a $10 fee for non-Athens-Clarke County residents for our all-day Homebuyer Education Workshop to cover course supplies, but all other workshops are free and open to the public.
All of our Housing Counseling workshops are free of charge for Athens-Clarke County residents through 2026.
Homebuyer Education Workshops are held online every other month and in person every other month at the Athens Land Trust office located at 685 N. Pope St., Athens, GA 30601 from 9:30 AM to 4:30 PM.
To sign up for our Homebuyer Education Class, complete the following step: 1. registration
2. payment (if you are not a resident of Athens-Clarke county).
Attendees will not receive a certificate of completion unless they have attended the full workshop.

Registration can be completed online or through a paper application. A $10 registration fee is required to ensure your spot in the class. (See step 2 for payment options)

Paper applications can be picked up at the Athens Land Trust office or mailed to you at your request. To request an application by mail, please call 706-613-0122.

A $10 per person payment is required to ensure your spot in the class. This payment is non-refundable, and you are not completely registered until you have completed the payment.
- Acceptable forms of payment include check, cash, money order, or Credit/Debit Card using the online payment method.
- Payments can also be made in person or mailed to 685 N. Pope St., Athens, Ga 30601.
This payment is non-refundable. If you are unable to attend a class, you must cancel at least 2 days prior to the course date and request that your payment be applied to a future course date. If you do not cancel prior to the 2 day window, no class transfer will be allowed, and no refund will be issued. Cancellations may be made via email to housingcounseling@athenslandtrust.org.
