Youth Development

We provide three youth education and job skills training programs: Young Urban Farmers (YUF), Young Urban Builders (YUB), and Young Conservation Stewards (YCS). Each program provides paid training for high-school aged youth in Athens-Clarke County.

We utilize an integrative approach that incorporates on-site training and hands-on experience, classroom training that delivers both specialized and general job skills, and community involvement to help ensure that the next generation of leaders are invested in where they live. Emphasis is placed on making vital connections to increase job placement in related fields post-graduation.
