Known for his visionary leadership, Demetrius excels in creating innovative strategies that align organizational culture, leadership development, and operational efficiency to deliver sustainable impact.
As Vice President of Regional Development at United Way of Greater Atlanta, Demetrius spearheaded initiatives that raised over $36 million for community programs, leading regional teams to expand access to critical services in education, housing, and health. He revitalized operations to achieve greater performance and impact by building cross-sector collaborations and leveraging strategic partnerships with Fortune 500 companies, local governments, and community organizations.
Demetrius is also the founder of Next Peak Consulting Group, a firm dedicated to helping organizations unlock their potential through tailored solutions in leadership development, fundraising strategy, and organizational alignment. His work has included leading major initiatives such as culture change projects for government agencies, strategic retreats for nonprofit boards, and feasibility studies for large-scale economic development campaigns.
A passionate advocate for equity and inclusion, Demetrius has worked extensively with community-focused initiatives, including the Gwinnett Village Financial Services Center and the Gwinnett Reentry Intervention Program, both of which addressed systemic barriers to economic mobility. His dedication to community empowerment is reflected in his board service with the Gwinnett County Airport Authority, Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce, and Leadership Gwinnett Foundation.
Demetrius’s global perspective is shaped by his early work in international development across Cambodia, Japan, South Africa, and Côte d'Ivoire. These experiences deepened his commitment to fostering inclusive growth and long-term sustainability.
A graduate of Morehouse College and Leadership Georgia, Demetrius resides in Lawrenceville, Georgia, with his wife and three children. In every role, he brings a unique blend of strategic thinking, results-driven leadership, and a deep passion for building stronger communities.
