The West Broad Farmers Market is geared towards building a neighborhood-based economy by providing a retail space for under-served farmers and food-based small business owners. In addition, we welcome local artisans, crafters and nonprofit and service vendors to join us at the market.
The West Broad Farmers Market will be going on hiatus for the 2025 market season. Athens Land Trust’s Community Agriculture Program will be using this time to recharge, and staff are looking forward to reopening when the market’s permanent home is located.
The Community Agriculture Program continues to support Athens Land Trust’s commitment to neighborhood revitalization by encouraging a sustainable local food system in some of Athens’ most food-insecure communities, strengthening the local economy, and building unity and wellness at the community level through other ongoing initiatives.
We encourage local vendors and farmers to get involved with other markets nearby.
